Another 419-er.

Last week somebody contacted me (on yahoo) about sixteen million dollars. Being a frequent visitor to the 419eater I recognized it as a scam - and am trying to scambait him.

Results can be tracked here. Check back once a week, I'd say.

I still don't know what I'm going to do with the bastard trying to get money from me. Your opinions.
a) pretend to like him enough to send nude pictures and receive his in return
b) try to scam him out of money
c) humiliate him
d) other...

Your nasty plans, please.

Hmmm, had me one of those before too.

Just kept him dangling on a line, never really saying no. All the time he invests in talking to me, while i ignore him, is time spent not scamming someone else out of his money.

Still, if you could pull off B.. that would make a great story indeed.

I'm not good at making up nasty plans, but I've been snooping around the site you linked to and I read the exchanges you made so far. I think you can seriously bait this guy!

But I don't understand, why does he offer you money, don't these things usually go the other way around?

The thing with large transfers is that you have to pay a transfer fee. And they bait you with that. Hey you can get a couple of million dollars. A few e-mails later you hear that you can get the money if you just pay a few thou. Or if you just give them the PIN number to your account. If you pay, or give the access to your bank account to them, you're screwed. They rob you, by offering you money. That's what makes these people so dangerous - they will do anything to rob you of your money.

Are people actually supid enough to give their PIN codes to total strangers over the internet? Geez...

There was an article a few weeks ago in the engrish rag called Amsterdam Weekly, about these goons. And there was a huge set of pics of people that got scammed in return. Unfortunately I can't recall exactly when that was(July or August, I think).

So, I vote for the pics. Only, get his first...

And then post 'em for all us to cackle at.

Well, since the nude pictures thing has already been done (and much fun to read) I think you should try to scam him out of money. It's probably going to be a lot more difficult than the pics, but it would be really cool if you succeed. Serves him right! He deserves it.

And no matter what you do, you can always humiliate him. ;P

Or perhaps you can write a really sad story about yourself. Take your time to let it evolve. Drop a few hints here and there and as time passes, try to make him feel REALLY bad about what he's trying to do.
I think it's the hardest thing to pull off and there is a large chance he doesn't give a rat's ass, but it could be fun.
