Doortje doing just dandy
Aug. 28th, 2014 08:01 amDoortje is doing fine. We've settled into a routine where I hand out the food, and she eats a mouthful every few minutes or so. She's been allowed to sit in the windowsill, where she keeps a diligent watch over the neighbour's gardens. When the sun is shining brightly, she keeps watch with her eyes closed and the most content kitty-face I've ever seen.
The bed is still very strange, as any cuddles on it make her immediately fall over. She licks my hand and arm when the cuddles are good and I'm trying to teach her the difference between love-bites and love bites. Softly is good.
She's not allowed any table scraps, and so far she's not picky about her food or her litter box at all. This is good.
In other news: any toy with catnip has been deemed most uninteresting.
However, she loves balls of paper, feathers, fingers under blankets and the Red Dot. The best thing to play with is still the little blue plastic ring I got off a milk jug. It can slide underneath the legs of the couch! It needs to die horribly just because of that. And here to cheer your morning up is a little movie I made last night:
