Walking in Willemstad
Apr. 29th, 2011 10:37 amLast night I drove to Willemstad, which is not only the capital of Curaçao but also a small town in the Netherlands, where I met up with
polomeus.
We walked over the walls that surround the small town center, talking about Maerquin and acting and mostly just getting to know one another a little better.
The old city walls, with its bunkers and fortress cubbyholes, were lush with grass and tall trees sighed in the wind. I felt instantly at home and started to relax right away.
When darkness fell we moved to a cafe and continued talking over tea.
I have a few photos but nothing that does the town justice. I guess I'll have to go back one day.
