Even now, the world is complicated
Jul. 19th, 2002 12:30 pmLet me tell you a little story about (my) life.
Imagine you’re a girl in her late teens, early twenties. You have a pretty face, and a voloptuous body. You always thought you were ugly because you’re no anorectic, but recently you’ve found out that you’re pretty cute indeed.
So, you start to go out. You meet new people and you really start to like some guy. He’s friendly and has the prettiest smile you’ve ever seen. You exchange phonenumbers.
You thought you knew how the world worked. You figured that people would contact you to hang out, or go out, or see a movie. Because, well, you’re really nice to be around and you’re pretty cute. But your vision of the world crumbles as people don’t call. You think it may be them. You think it may be you. Maybe you were not as cute as you think you were. Maybe your hair isn’t long or soft enough. Did they notice the blond at the roots? Did they see your big thighs?
Or is it just the men? You, know, they never call, even if you thought they would. They don’t call you, and it’s just thesame with your friends. Because the men you like to be liked by don’t call you. And the men you don’t want to be liked by, fancy you.
Meanwhile, you’re at home. It’s vacation, and you’re waiting until you get that new place. You’re really eager to fix it up and move out, but you don’t have the key yet. So you hang at home, waiting for your work to start. Doing nothing much really. And you wait. For a phonecall. That he likes you. That your key is ready and waiting. Anything is better than this apathetic existence.
I just can’t believe the fact that men don’t call anymore. Do they know what pain they inflict on us insecure girls? (me)

Date: 2002-07-23 03:14 am (UTC)But ranting is good for me. It's a way to express the emotional whirlwind I have inside of my chest sometimes.
And about love: all men are whores.
That goes in general. There are exceptions. You're not a whore. The Dreamwalker is not a whore. Mr Guitargod is not a whore (as far as I know). Mr is a whore.
Men in general are whores.
Men in particular, aren't.
Patrick is a 'ho!

Don't expect to be called, even if a call is somthing that within the normal set of values can be expected, is best. Then you will be surprised when you are called.

Date: 2002-07-24 03:48 am (UTC)Well, I know you're right about "no matter how you appear to others, there's always one who sees right though it and really gets to you". But whenever I fancy someone and he doesn't turn out to be that person...it's a big disappointment.
And I can't help whom I fall in love with / have a crush on.
