Proof of Concept

Last night I showed the parts of the Lanelle costume that were finished to Lanzaned and Orothoniel. They were all bouncy, and so was I! The skirt and two long tunics are done. The best part of this costume to date is still that I can just leave out one or two layers to create a summer costume out of.

In any case, after these three layers I continued with a leather tunic-thingy. It's still a bit undefined, but I drafted a basic block (with +1/+4 ease) for it.
I just made a mock-up: it fits!

My school is working! It's teaching me stuff! And it's working! *happy dance*

On to make more sturdy patterns from A4 paper to lay on the leather now. And adapting armscye and neckline... these are still in its original place which is nearly skintight (as far as that counts with +1/+4 ease).

Ik kan mij nog goed herinneren toen ik mijn eerste kledingstuk maakte met een zelf getekend patroon. Dat gaf een gigantische ego-boost.
