This is all Nathreee's fault, of course, but I think she'll happily take the blame for this one.

Thanks to her incentive, I ordered myself the "Quenn of Shamakhan" coat at Armstreet. But since I'm tall and have horrible proportions, I asked if they could make it to size.
Why, yes, yes they could.

I figured I couldn't make this myself, not for this price. It's a luxury to sit back and wait for a package to arrive and not have to worry about fit or deadlines. It took them only four weeks from ordering to delivery too! And it fits perfectly! There's enough ease for me to wear a sweater underneath, even. And look: it's red!

Coat, hat, muff, loose sleeves with buttons, and purse, all in one package!

I paid for this from the vacation days I had left from when I left Sogeti. After taxes, there was enough left for this coat. And a girl can pamper herself every now and again.

Armstreet has a lot of beautiful things, and their customer service is amazing. The Armstreet website is here.

Man, I could spend hours on that site. I had considered getting that coat as well!
Nice to hear their quality is good. :)

It's a lovely thick wool and the fit is great. I'm really impressed, it's hard to sew something for me that fits.

That is a lovely coat indeed. It is good when things fit like that. However they were on to a good start as they would have received accurate measurements from you, which is always a help.

That looks so toasty and pretty. I want one:P (or actually, I need to finish a project that would serve the same function, but new=shiny)

The wool is very soft to the touch, and the detail is exquisite. You cannot clearly see on the picture the small beads in the embroidery or the little pompons that line the sleeves. It is beautifull

I myself am in love with the reinaissance brocade queens cloak from the same site.

eh...that was anastaszia, accidentaly logged in as shurf. Of course Shurf does not crave the red and gold queens cloak!

Thanks, it does.
There was a choice of colours: black, red, blue, green and white.
I couldn't take the white, because it would get stained really easily.
I couldn't get the green, because I already have many green coats.
I couldn't get the blue, because Lyssa has a blue cloak from Armstreet and it's too vivid to suit me.
I didn't want the black, because it would be too 'standard'
And the red? It was gorgeous and just right.
