Day in the Life

janestarzA day in my life... December 31st, 2010.
This is the time I get in my car the night before my DitL...Well, we were roleplaying.
Light + noise. I've only had a few hours of sleep.
Lisa wants snuggles. NoKey obliges her when I wake him up because of taking pictures.
Dusty, of course, helps me pee.
Before - Shower - After
Coffee time.
Breakfast is eaten behind the PC.
It's time to run some errands. It's thawing and raining, but there's still snow around.
Pick up dry-cleaning.
Pick up iPad at my job.
Back home.
NoKey has to get some stuff for tonight, so I make him a list.
There's some time for silly games.
And Dusty would like some attention now plz.
Gift-wrap iPad. It's not for me!
Prepare for packing, take knitting and clean clothes along.
Mom tells me they wanted to leave at two, so I'm in a hurry. Soak dishes, prepare sandwiches and a thermos of tea.
Shut down pc. Make sure kitties won't starve.
Close blinds, so they won't see there's a war on tonight.
Almost forgot this!
Ready to go!
We hit traffic on the Ring...
I drive, NoKey takes pictures.
Since I forgot to drop off the paperwork that morning (lack of sleep anyone?) I go and drop it off now.
En-route towards Houten. It's foggy!
That doesn't seem to bother this guy.
We arrive in Houten and I make sure to capture mom's face on film when she sees what she's getting for her birthday.
I get coffee with extra luuuuuuuuuuv.
Luc hooks up and activates the iPad.
None of my mom's five cats are allowed outside, and Sterling is sulking in the window.
More fog. We pull over at a gas stop (which is hidden in the mist) for snacks.
It's still light when we arrive in Germany.
I unload the car while NoKey takes piccies.
Kenshin brings in more wood for the fire.
While Anemoona checks out my coursework.
There's a warm fire and tea!
Big plans for dinner.
The salmon teriyaki is just delicious!
NoKey slices the fruit we brought.
And other snacks to keep us while we wait for the year to end.
At midnight, we go outside for some modest fireworks.
There's not much activity out there, but it's a small town.
Kenshin takes us for a walk around the village. He tells us there are candles lit at this cemetary every night.
"Heilige Stephanus bitte für uns"
We say goodnight to our hosts...
At a quarter to two, it's lights off! Goodnight!

Date: 2011-01-03 08:57 pm (UTC)So Selection tool (rounded corners, 100px) - Select as much of your image as you can - Invert selection - Delete - make sure your background colour is white before saving.
Both Photoshop and the Gimp have these settings, so you should be able to replicate the effect!
