Preparing for Christmas...
Dec. 23rd, 2010 12:36 pmMy aunt Chris is a dear sweet aunt, but she's not allowed to eat a multitude of things. But NoKey and I love this awesome recipe for couscous (which
anemoona introduced me to!) from the Albert Heijn website.
I offered to help my mom by bringing a dish to the Christmas brunch on Saturday, and she said I should call my aunt to check what she couldn't have. It might have been easier to just tell my uncle the recipe, but he summed up everything from sugar to glucose that she wasn't allowed. I jotted down notes, for future reference. Excluding the soy products altogether actually makes it easier, since any soy product always sticks to the wok.
Now all I need to do is convince NoKey to wok this for them (that shouldn't be too hard!), and do some Christmas shopping tomorrow (I have Plans).
And to dig my car out of the snow. Yes, that too.
