Not-vigation, part 2
Nov. 26th, 2010 01:01 amI thought there were two ways to get to Ragar in 's-Gravendeel. Turns out there are three. One goes by the Kiltunnel, which will cost me 2 euro for a one-way. The other takes the A29 and exit 21 to Oud-Beijerland.
The third option, as it turned out, is to take the A29 and find out that exit 21 is closed.
Right after the exit, the highway dives into a huge black hole, not a light to be seen. And the first exit is more than ten km on, near Numansdorp.
The Hoekse Waard is quite beautiful. Too bad it was so dark I couldn't see anything of it.
Luckily, my navigation, for what the bloody thing is worth, also manages to steer me somewhat into the right direction. Of course, once I've taken half a look at the map, I usually get myself in the right village after a while.
If you need to see a map with this story, here's one. The direct route goes over the N217. My route tonight went by Numansdorp, de Klem, Strijen, and Mookhoek.
We'll try that again during daylight, so we can actually enjoy the view. (Wonderful. Once you get a car, you proceed to get lost with it...)
