Post-Maerquin post
Nov. 22nd, 2010 10:06 amJust a quick update about Maerquin. By the Gods, how I love that event...
I have just a few things to remark, starting with:
"In Soviet Zepultoera, character plays you!"
In previous events Marianne has always played me, in stead of the other way around. She decided to do things, to say things, to act a certain way. This weekend I've only felt that way once.
It doesn't make it a bad event -- not at all! I had a wonderful and fantastic time. It just made it a little more predictable as the previous ones. Maybe I'm finally getting the hang of Marianne.
Wonderful highs, wonderful stressful things. Awesome impulses, which should always be followed. Unexpected meetings and plans, plans, plans.
I honestly don't know how to write this all down so that the hidden things stay hidden and the story can still be told. Maybe I shouldn't bother to do so and make it a friends-only post for a change.
And praise be to the NPC's! Compared to Soviet Zepultoera, Marsilac is a warm and friendly place, full of crazy barbaric people who love you and then stab you in the back regardless of whether they have the papers for it. From the undead servants to the snobby nobles, the setting was perfectly played.
I will miss BigBoss as an organiser, but I'm sure Nachtvisser will be a worthy heir, especially since he's got an experienced Askie to teach him the ropes. Can't wait to see where this is going to go.
