Castlefest photo's!
Aug. 12th, 2010 09:50 amI'm finally done editing my pictures from Castlefest. This is very picture-heavy post, so be warned. The entire set of 77 can be found on Flickr, but my favorites are under the cut.

You can buy trinkets all over Castlefest.

"Pet meeee...?"

My favorite picture of Leona. She sparkles.

André and Nicolien wore their wedding clothes to do a shoot. While Nikki was posing, photographers flocked to capture her on film. No surprises there!
I found it hard to pick a favorite. The hard sunlight from the other side made her hair into a halo and I have several images where she's looking into the camera, but I think this one tells more of a story and I enjoy the contrast between the wall and Nikki.

At night, Scrum played. They make a cross-over between folk and punk. Their version of "Whisky in the Jar" had bassist Marco going crazy. I love the colours in this picture.
(Find Scrum's website here. I can recommend their version of "Amazing Grace"...the voice of the lead singer gives me goosebumps!)

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I'm a professional..."
The 'Martelgang' is a show to illustrate torture in medieval times. Several larpers play out the scenes, using a lot of blood and gore and screaming.

"Funny you should mention that. I can actually explain..."

This picture is probably my favorite of the entire set.

Ferret!

A very Western portrait of Nathreee. I'd like to make it even more soft, but my GIMP-fu failed me. It doesn't really need it anyway, the picture is great as it is.

There were some WWII re-enactors on site as well! I loved their costumes, and I think this picture turned out nice.
It's hard to pick favorites. On one hand I'm tired of seeing these photos, on the other hand there are just so many I like!
Any and all comments are very welcome
