Swaffeler^** in Rotterdam Metro

Police officers have apprehended a so-called swaffeler in Rotterdam on Monday night. The man had used his genitalia to touch a subway train.
The police got the call that there was a naked man on the subway station at the Eendrachtsplein around nine thirty in the evening. Officers who responded to the call saw the man sitting on the edge of the platform. When he caught sight of the police officers, he took off into the subway tunnel towards the Dijkzigt station.

The man acted dangerously on the tracks. He jumped over the conduits for electricity on the tracks. A subway train stopped in the tunnel at that moment. The man approached it, started to run around the train, and beat his genitals against it.

The RET decided to stop traffic and disconnect the power for safety reasons. As extra security measure a two-by-four was laid across the tracks. When officers went in to get the man, he approached them on the emergency escape path. He started spitting at the policemen and RET employees.

The suspect, a 48-year old man from Rotterdam who was unable to hold a conversation, has been apprehended.

Striptease at arrest salesperson selling fake gold

AMSTERDAM - When the police tried to arrest three Romanians at the A4 near Hoofddorp on Tuesday night, one of them started a spontaneous striptease. She was buck naked next to the highway.
The police tracked the Romanians after a tip that they were selling fake gold on parking places by the highway.

With the striptease the 38-year old woman tried to escape arrest, according to a spokesperson of the police. "This happens more often. They try everything to make it impossible for us [to arrest them]"

An officer ordered the woman to get back in the car. She complied, but she then tried to hide the fake jewelry that could be used as evidence against her in a body cavity.

Child
During her arrest the woman screamed at her 11-year old child and hit the child in its face. Why she did this, is unknown.

Together with the woman two men, aged 23 and 42, were arrested. They have been taken to a police station. They were each fined eighty euro. The fake jewelry was confiscated.

I remember the word of the year thing, but most of those words are forgotten after a year or two. I mean "genverbrander" has no real use. "Bokitoproof" is maybe a cute one, but I'm not sure if it will stay for long.

Swaffelen hasn't found its way in the digital "Van Dale Groot woordenboek van de Nederlandse taal 14". There is hope.
