Well, the performance went okay. There were some screw-ups but only a few were able to be seen. There was a guy who forgot his line (stupid prick! Learn your lines for crying out loud), A guy who forgot to pause so I could dress him in that pause. And my phone went off too late in this scene where I am an archbishop and I am called by the pope. The pope is visible on the tv and I went on ahead with my lines, when the technicians finally called me…way too late. That was kind of embarrassing.
After the play I said hi to all the people I knew and where there. The place was packed and my dad was there, as well as Tjerk, the Dreamwalker and Rianne. Also, TommyCee just walked in as we were done, so I introduced her to my dad and she kindof helped clean up. But, since the rest of the mirror people didn’t answer my question wheter this or that had to go in the trunk or home and started singing, I kind of was annoyed. I left in a “screw all you!” mood, to the So What to see The Distillers.
Now the So What is the local hardrock cafe. It’s in one of the worse neighbourhoods near the station. I had always wanted to go inside but I never dared to go in there alone [there are …like…metalheads in there *grin* ]. I had TC backing me up, and there were punkers and mohawks everywhere. So we went in and we saw some of the second band which was kind of okay. Then, the Distillers came on stage. We sat on the bar to not be crushed by the crowd / beat in the pit, and we sat just in front of the lead-grunter from Nepenthe who did the technical job.
The Distillers totally rocked my socks bigtime. They were sooooo good. There was a lot of crowdsurfing and pit-ing done and we saw Roel surf once.
So when the band was done, Roel came up to us, gave us both a hug (yay for Roel!) and went outside with Johan and Remco and other semi-cool people from school. We bounced to the music and grabbed our bags and headed for the door.
Emile from the restaurant I work in since last week was there, and I saw his necklace flash from the corner of my eye and we talked and he introduced us to his friends [and we ended up staying]. He was so shocked and freaked that I was there and that I liked Tool. We were ofcourse quite punkrockishly dressed but were approved of when he heard we had gone to Ozzfest and that we liked Tool and had seen Nepentho in Wageningen.
So we stayed until 3.30 am I guess. Helped clean a bit. TC had fun with the singer-guy from Nepenthe and I was talking to Jimmy. Long black hair, blue eyes, totally gorgeous, totally taken, which I heard from Emile as we were walking home. He just couldn’t believe I was there (I couldn’t really either) because all of our other collegues are going to wrong trance clubs like the Petticoat. As it turns out, it’s his regular hangplace. He goes there about every night. I guess that means I’ll be going back there soon. *Grin* End of August there’s an open stage thing and TC and I want to practice hard with the Tommies and go play! Oh yeah! We rock. Kindof.
Tonight is the second try-out and both my mom and TC are coming. I should eat.
