These days I find myself struggling to save my energy up for all those things I plan to do next to work. When the days are dull and there's no fresh sunlight to be had, I plan a lot of things that will be fun to do, inevitably cutting my own throat in the process.
These are the dark days of winter. There's just not enough energy to go around for everything I want to do!
However, not all plans have green light, which saves me some energy. I'll be visiting the horrid regions of Amsterdam for a planning meeting with
aroka tonight. This involves far too much bus travel and not enough train travel to my liking; buses are not good for maille weaving where trains are.
Then Keffie, after seeing my newest project last night, was practically bouncing up and down and invited me over to his place for some serious weaving tomorrow afternoon. I'll have to see at what time I can be with him since last week's fitting session was moved to presumably tomorrow and there's groceries to be done as well. Too bad work's firewall prohibits any outbound putty'ing into the mailserver at home, so I can't finalise my plans until I arrive home tonight. I fear this might be very late, but that's okay.
Sadly, the Gothic Fitted Dress day has been cancelled due to Woran opting to visit her family. I'm glad Alhandra is celebrating her birthday next weekend, because combined with Steelweaver's birthday it would have been rather busy. However, I'm still trying to see if there will be some time for some impromptu sewing or offhand designing in between the various bouts of travelling to friend's pads and the household chores.
I'm very scared to see what the upcoming months will be like if I don't curb my enthusiasm for any and all fun projects. Already I have three events planned in May and two in April. Backgrounds to write, costumes to build, you know how it is.

Date: 2010-02-04 03:45 pm (UTC)I will miss GFD day, but I can trade that for seeing my mum out and about and enjoying the family. Still, I do feel like letting you and Stealweaver down.
Too much plans indeed. March is nearly full already and I wonder how I will ever find the time to celebrate my birthday in april.
