Snowing!

It's snowing again. Just when we thought we were rid of the white slush and cycling was do-able again, big soft flakes are floating down.
This is highly unusual. It complicates things.

I just want to say to all my fellow Dutch who are too fucking lazy to clean up their fireworks crap on New Year's Day: gee, fun that all the kids will be playing outside in the snow today, huh?
The street looked like a warzone. But thank goodness there's the pristine white snow to cover it up. Not so pristine after an hour or so, but still.

Snow! Wheeeeee!
(And if anyone needs more pictures of costumes in snow, I'd be happy to oblige...)

I feel much the same... People spend tons of money on loud noises and light flashes that are like a welcoming beacon for Mr. Migraine and when they're all done, they're just too freaking lazy to clean up after themselves! One of our neighbours had swept their things all up into a pile and then the pile caught fire and no one moved to put the fire out!

hey girl! Best wishes and all for 2010. Out here, the neighbors seem to have at least some dignity, and the morning after, there was little to no mess in the neighborhood. The fireworks were splendid (sometimes even professional) as we watched the show from my window. Then again, what is to be expected in a rich-ass village as Oegstgeest. Hope you have a good year.
