This morning I glanced at the front page of the free rag that's called the Spits. "Oehoe is zoek" (Oehoe is lost) I read.
'Oh no!' thought I, 'how can we find Malor again?
Even though I never set a foot on Symbols, I still know that Malor's character there is known as Oehoe. And it got me thinking about our alter ego's. Often we are talking to other larpers, and ask them "Do you know so-and-so? He played...". Most larpers have one or more characters, alter ego's, each with their own distinct personality. For instance, I could be called Annet, Xantara, Marianne, Lanelle the elf bitch from Legendfalls. She also plays Captain Beriadanwen of the Anarquendor on Omen, and she does Vortex as Frankie.
Quite a name, huh? And these aren't even all of my active characters!
But it comes in handy too. You know, Sander, right? You know, Sander! Which one?
Aladin the paladin, also of the wolf clan on Vortex. Or maybe Malor,
sna, Aegiolus, Gino or Xandos. Or do you perhaps mean Indewarrus, Regin and Victor-Sander? Or did you say Zander? Xander?
Anyway, Oehoe made the newspaper. And I have too many characters! But then, that makes voting really interesting.
