Saturday [livejournal.com profile] nathreee and her Remco came by for a short visit, a sleepover, good hobbit food and the Sunday's Elvenmeet.
They arrived in the afternoon and we spent some time working on Nathreee's new underbust. I have a good working pattern for her, and the cotton she chose for her new character Ellenora is really lovely. It fused like a dream to the coutil and she decided to have black external boning channels. I'm thinking black binding and black laces will finish it off nicely.

We took a few tea breaks and NoKey played the guitar for us. Nathreee has a wonderful voice and Remco was enjoying the music with his eyes closed.
At seven we arrived at SushiQube for dinner. Our hobbit senses were satisfied by the lovely sushi. I saw both Remco and Nathreee close their eyes to fully enjoy the taste of the sushi, and we were sad when we were satisfied, for we hadn't tried everything on the menu yet.
Back at home I poured us some white wine and more music followed.

On Sunday we hosted the Elvenmeet -- a pre-Omen meet for all Anarquendor. Everyone showed up, which was good. Nathreee helped me make soup (French cheese-soup) and I tossed a salad together and baked bread, made some garlic butter and put all the juices and sodas on the table so that everyone could just service themselves.

The meet was good. Ragar combined with CeeJay are a very busy bunch and it was hard to keep everyone in check, but we planned and plotted and I think everyone's clear on some very basic principles of the Anarquendor. Luthine had some great ideas, and I'd love to see what the other players and SL will do.

After the meet some people went home, and the rest of the men went outside to shoot some bow while the women stayed in. Leona, Luthine and Gwen did the dishes (hurray!) and after cleaning up we tried on some corsets, as Luthine's character Alcániël needs a new outfit. Luckily I have several corsets lying around. Nathreee's underbust, and my two overbusts from the Laughing Moon pattern all fit her reasonably well despite Luthine being considerably smaller than either of us.
I always hope that by allowing people to fit real corsets with real steel they will see the difference between plastic rigilene boning and the real deal -- and feel that it is even more comfortable than what rigilene can accomplish.

[livejournal.com profile] steelweaver and [livejournal.com profile] twilightbanana dropped in for the pancakes as well. I had hoped to have more time to chat with Steelweaver as we hadn't seen eachother in a while, but busy people plus nommy pancakes leave no room for chat! I was glad to see them both, though. =)

Last night I couldn't sleep very well, so I called in sick this morning. I lay awake from three until six.

There were a lot of people in your house and a lot of energy moving. Have some rest. Love you.

I really had a great time! And I deffinitly felt the difference between my own corsets and yours. I always wanted to make a corset with steel 'baleinen' but I'm so afraid to mess things up. So I never dared. My other corsets I still think of as try-outs. All of them aren't sturdy and only to look pretty. I hope I'm ready to make a real one. But i'm going to try it on my next corset. The one i'll be making for Alcániel.
Thanks for the lovely sunday.
