Let's not talk about the weekend...
Sep. 7th, 2009 12:59 pmMy weekend was an energy-less affair in which I mostly hung in a chair or on the couch, we watched a lot of Star Trek Voyager, and I had sore shoulders. I still do. Volunteers for massage-duty can leave a comment.
Moving on...
This morning I cycled to work nearly pain-free. I watched how my knees were doing and stepped off the recumbent bicycle without any troubles (unlike last week, where my left knee felt like it would explosively reject my kneecap and my right knee gave me problems until the next day and I couldn't walk straight). I did meet some water on the way down, but nothing substantial.
I had some trouble at the crossing with the N209 as they're working on the road there and huge machines were blocking my path, but I still clocked a few minutes under an hour's worth of travel time -- which is really good!
I'm keeping track of statistics, working on the spreadsheet as I'm filling it in. Currently I've got Date, Weather Type, Rain type, Incidents, Ride type, and estimated kilometers. I'm thinking about adding a "Spotted" column, als I've spotted both a very curious type of cow as a small kind of falcon (perhaps a peregrine?) this morning. Aside from a light-brown bunny, dozens of pheasants and ducks, and a black and white cat, that is.
Suggestions for the spreadsheet file will be most welcome. I would like to have it in its final form in four weeks, when I hope to get my own recumbent bicycle.
