May. 30th, 2009 10:07 amAs for the onoz tomatoes: there is still no sign of any flowers, so tomatoes will have to wait for a while. Same goes for our wineberry, it's not yet in bloom, but it's growing like crazy.
The oak tree sapling is encouraged by the loads of water I bestowe upon it and grows taller. The liverwort at its base keep weeds out of the pot, yay!
The pepper (paprika) plant has recovered from being eaten by Lisa. It's now nearly 7 centimeters high and has more than two leaves. It's a month behind the tomatoes by now, so I'm curious as to what that will bring.
The strawberry has bloomed at about the same time as the tree in front of our house and those busy bumblebees must have done something right, because the first small strawberries are forming! I am looking forward to eating home-grown fruit with a slight flavouring of suburb.
As for the herbs, the basil is being a bitch, still very small. Chives and parsley are doing great! I took this lovely photo of our parsley last night...testimony to the lovely weather as well as my wonderful gardening skillz.
