I was anxiously awaiting the update of my kernel so I could unload some pictures from my camera. Spring might be nearly over, but there is still so much lovely nature out there, and I photographed parts of it. I took pictures of my balcony garden, of Lisa - who loves to 'help' when I'm out on the balcony doing whatever it is I am doing - and of the tree in front of our house. Oh the tree!

There are downsides to living on the third floor of an apartment building. And there are downsides to having a tree in front of your house. But the upsides...well, you don't hear much about the upsides.

In front of our large living room window is a large pagoda tree (Sophora japonica), which is now in full bloom. And because we live high up, we look out on the crown of the tree and our balcony still catches the full sun. The tree is in full bloom right now, and there are dozens of bumblebees buzzing loudly in the white flowers. There are long bunches of flowers dangling down from the branches, swaying in the wind.
I'd say that's definitely an upside.

So to see the full Flickr album of my garden, the strange little moss (not really a moss, but still) that hitched a ride with our oak tree sapling, and of course pictures of the onoz the tomatoes... You must be this high to ride the tomato.
