The first Phantasium and everything looked promising. Except for the throes of first-time organisers, it was well enough arranged. The number of visitors was a little disappointing, but the atmosphere more than made up for it! The pictures are a little dark, because of the hall. It was very cosy inside.

Dolle Griet took along the new tent, a 4x8m pavillion with twin peaks...

...our stand! To the left of the stand was our huge banner. To the right we displayed some of our own costumes, greatest works. We calculated that there was over € 10K worth of costume present in our stand over the course of the weekend - including the outfits we were wearing for the two days and not counting the stock.

With some funky lighting NoKey arranged for us, the 'Museum of Heroes' or the 'Dolle Griet Memorial' or whatever you want to call it, was a true eyecatcher. People stopped to stare at the costumes, photograph them, and have a closer look at the details. Many people ignored the sign, sidestepping around it to feel the costumes*. I saw one girl step up to Maretak's costume (far right) to have her picture taken with it.
Also note the small mannequin to the left - it's Caelin's chaos armour. The other costumes (from left to right): Ragar's Chaos Show costume (weighing 35 kilogrammes, including the chainmail), Nieske & Aaron the dungeoneers, Beriadanwen - Elf Captain, and Maretak, dryad ritualist.

"Nieske and Aaron reunited..."
Though I have no bad feelings about losing this particular character, it was weird to see Nieske again, and I felt a pang of nostalgia. She was a great character to play, and the chemistry between Aaron and Nieske was always great. Now to see her standing there like that was certainly a strange experience.
I got some great shots of the costume on the (skinny) doll. It's amazing what you can do in sizing if you add a drawstring to your pants!

Ragar (with Gralnjir) and I posing in front of our characters. There's always time for some funky pictures!

*) The sign said to please not touch the costumes, among other things, but people didn't stop to read the sign. In any case, if the costumes can survive dungeon-crawling, zombie-bludgeoning and treehugging, a couple of touchy-feely hands can hardly harm, can't they?
