I woke up wayyy to early at nine after only six hours of sleep, but luckily Lisa was available and willing to cheer me up. Cuddles ensued, while NoKey snored behind our little fluffy ball of goodmorning cuddles. (NoKey, on the other hand, would argue that it ain't so, that he doesn't snore, and that he was probably on to us the entire time. Don't mind him, he just feels left out).

After groceries (uuuuurghhh) I decided to go to the market after all. It will be my last chance in a while as my next two weekend are completely booked.
Without further ado, here's the list:
  • Some lovely red wool, not too thin, about six meters of it, too!
  • 2 meters of the most awful-feeling gold satin I need to make myself a blouse of.
  • 1,3 meters of herringweve wool, for a short cloak I will cover in rabbit furs.
  • 2,5 meters of green suedine for that guy who insists on an 'original' Legolas costume.
  • 2 meters of light blue cotton for that same guy.
  • 3 meters of white tricot or jersey, to be used with
  • 3 meters of light polycotton for Leona's robe.
  • 2 meters of black cotton.
  • I dunno, maybe 3? meters of beige/natural linen.
  • 5 or 6 meters of light blue linen. Steelweaver said the colour looked good on me, so...I couldn't say no for only 2 euro per meter!
  • 2,5 meters of light blue rib rayon, for mundanewear shirt(s). It'll work with the blue jeans jacket I bought in Gouda.

Besides all the above, I also picked up assorted nuts, new indoor slippers (pantoffels, another of those great Dutch words that need to be known throughout the world!), bread at the bakery, and Michelle's accessoiries for the first night of elysium, which only cost me 6 euro's in all.

After a short recuperation period I asked NoKey for some help with draping a vest. I tried draping it on the doll first, but that didn't fit me at all, so he draped it on me directly, which took a lot of time. But looks like we did something right, the shape looks familiar and it seems to me it could actually turn out to be a vest-like kind of thingy!
Only then did I realise the fabric is still in the washing machine for its preshrinking tumble.

>Doh!<

In any case, I could take care of that pattern by transferring it to paper and afterwards start on Michelle's first Elysium night's costume: gold and blue, gold and blue. With gold. And more gold. *sighs*
If I'm smart, I'll work on Beriadanwens short cloak, but I really don't feel like it right now.
