janestarzHappy 09, everyone. Another year closer to the five-digit year. In another year we'll have effectively rid ourselves of the double-o just by existing. And more such things.
We were at home, leisuring and watching House. Blinds closed so the flashes wouldn't distract us and somewhere in the middle of the episode Sex Kills the digits changed. NoKey remarked that it is one of the things he likes to remember to celebrate [the passing of another year], to which I replied his birthday is perfect for that.
The cats were hardly distressed, but they were a little uncomfortable. Lisa spent the night snoring loudly on the foot of my bed, so I'm glad to report they didn't lose any sleep over Sylvester (as the Germans call it).
May we all make it a happy year. Try to keep smiling at eachother, it will make the world a better place.
