I've bought a creamy white wool as a replacement - 10 meters of it. If that's not enough, nothing will be. Main question is: will white work for a mantua, or is white "reserved" for underwear in the 17th century still? I can recall some 18th century ladies wearing white chemise dresses, but 17th? It is really quite lovely with the pink and the stays!
