On the subject of kids...
Jul. 15th, 2008 11:34 amA lot of people around me are spouting youngsters. Suddenly there is this sqealing being whose survival completely depends on them and they love it and hold it and cuddle it and make funny noises at it.
People ask me what I think of kids. Recently, I have had to adjust my View on Kids a bit. Jonah climbed onto me, prodding his 2 year old elbow into my solar plexus and lived to tell the tale.
People ask me when I am going to have kids. My own mother has finally grasped the concept that she might have to look towards her son if she ever wants to be a grandmother.
As for all the rest of you, you might want to read Ursula's entry on the subject. My view on ostriches is a little different, and I might be leaning more towards the platypus, but her comparison is valid. And the post is damned entertaining.
I believe the world really is a better place because there's kids in it. It's just that I will not have any.
