janestarzIt was ever so much fun, doing the interview with Aunt Otty. She was such a sweet old lady, with humour. Born in 1927, she will vote List Pim Fortuyn (the right wing politician who was shot last Monday, considered to be an extremist). We also discussed culture, life in Indonesia, and my grandmother, whom I never knew.
She offered to drop me off at the train station, and I got the 16.15 train. In the train to Ede, it was crowded and hot, and I almost fainted, which was quite a strange experience. One moment I was standing up to let people get out of the train, the next I noticed I couldn’t see, and my eyesight was returning to me slowly. I had eaten and drank enough that day so I think it was the heat in combination with a lack of fresh air and the quick movement. I was home at six and bought some stuff to take with me on my trip to Paris (next to money for small souvenirs (if any) and a sleepingbag and airmatrass, that is).
