Everyone,

Please note that tonight is your last chance to send me your orders to combine shipping for Reconstructing History. I will be placing the order tomorrow.

Here's how ordering goes:
1) Browse the RH site. And it is extensive. Scribble on a notepad what you'd like to order, how many, and what the order number is.
2) Mail me these things + your full name, address and e-mail address. If you want your package to be insured (inside the NL) add this to your e-mail. If you want to come pick up your package, include this in your e-mail as well. Our next faire is in August, so we'll have to set an appointment.
3) Prizes on the RH site are in dollars. I will charge these exact prizes in euro's. For instance, if a pattern costs $ 25.- you will pay € 25,- plus any shipping within the Netherlands. If shipping from the US to NL is outrageous, a small shipping fee might be added, depending on your order. For instance: boning is heavy, patterns are not.
4) I will e-mail you when your order arrives in the Netherlands and verify the shipping address.
5) I will e-mail you the Track & Trace number so you can check on your shipment while it is underway.
6) When your package arrives at your house, a bill will be included. There's no need to pay until your goods arrive, and even then you have two weeks to pay.
7) I am willing to ship to Germany, Belgium, and other EU countries, but shipping to an EU country is pretty steep and can top € 10,-. Check the TNT Post website (Dutch) for details.

My e-mail addy is annet {apenootjes} dolle-griet {puntje} com

[livejournal.com profile] steelweaver, yes I did get your e-mail. Could you send me the ordering codes for the particular colours? Cerulean is pretty much a unique colour, but would the other thing have a colour code as well?

Celadon (green, as in Celadon Toadstool) flannel apparently doesn't have an ordering code that I could find on the site, but in my swatch set, it's 5160/788. The hemp thread comes in natural only, and it's called heavy hemp thread.

Is it too late to add one RH-101? I like it better than the English one.

I wish there were swatch sets for the wool thread:(, it sounds good but I hate ordering stuff unseen.

What do you want to do about the kitteh food? Pick it up, have us drop it off?

How about a swap & tea when the RH stuff arrives? I'll be swamped until my Christmas holidays anyway.

The code is good, I'll use it and describe the stuff as Cerulean flannel =D. I bet Kass has an excellent memory and will know exactly which one I mean. And I guess the heavy hemp thread description will ring a bell too.
Can I interest you also in some fine beeswax? I shall be ordering a couple of one pound blocks for flossing and waxing bowstrings...

Celadon is green, cerulean is blue. And I thought women were good at telling colours apart...sheesh:)

Whoopsie!

Well, I did order Celadon, not cerulean.

Who is this anyway?

I always mix those two up. Must be the fiction she wrote about those two at some point....

Hey, I have a comment that has nothing to do with your post!

A LJ-friend of mine would like to order a custom made corset. Are there any websites you could recommend? Does thebatsmeow have a website?

[livejournal.com profile] thebatsmeow doesn't do business through livejournal if she can avoid it. I've ordered an econo-waist cincher from Alexis ([livejournal.com profile] electradesigns, she's from the USA) though and I am very pleased with her work! She is one hell of a corset lady. Too bad she is totally swamped with orders and doesn't do any custom work at the time. I'm on her waiting list, hoping to get a turn before June 2010. I am unsure if she does econo-waist cinchers at this time though.

There's also [livejournal.com profile] pitufina I believe, who is London-based and recommended by Tanya. Then there's [livejournal.com profile] laracorsets from USA. Then there's [livejournal.com profile] dazeoflaur who does historical stuff.

The problem with many custom corsetmakers that the ones who are any good are swamped in work. Try again after New Years, don't be surprised if it costs an arm and a leg, and expect a waiting list. Good corsets are pricey.
