Is it just me or is every elf in the Lord of the Rings saga dressed in long flowing robes with continuous rolled collars and impossibly long dragging hems? I mean, anyone who's anyone wears either such belle sleeves that I can't see how they can do their hair without getting lost in them and shrieking "It's out to get meeeee" or slapping themselves in the face.
Except Haldir, because Haldir is just butch. Yum.
I like the 'elves that are reforging Narsil' too. They have their hair tied back like the costume department actually had some idea what they're doing and I absolutely adore their gloves!
Now I just need an excuse to wear thin leather gloves in the midst of August. Freak blizzard anyone?

Date: 2007-09-04 08:03 am (UTC)got your message on the EE forum but will have to take it into consideration with Matthijs. Drachenfest is so.... huge, and far away and such.
But we're really happy that you invited us, that you thought of us.
We will think about it and let you know about the outcome. Is there a deadline? We're rather busy people, so it might end up on the 'big heap of things to do' and get lost unless we plan it.

Date: 2007-09-04 09:54 am (UTC)I'm looking for archers, and if you decide whether you want to come or not in January that's early enough, but I'm starting on costumes now, because that will ensure I've got enough time and can do some wicked embroidery and stuff. I've even got a spare bow you can borrow!
Mail me at janestarz at yahoo dot com when you've made up your mind. I can mail you the background if you need to be swayed?
