Oh dear, is that one still there? Ah, well, nerds. Oftentimes I find myself in polite company, and soon enough I am chatting along happily with the more computer-type people than the look-at-my-lipstick-people. It's gotten worse in recent months, seeing how I will now become even more of a nerd and work with software. I speak HTML and some CSS. I've expressed my interest in learning to update my own Linux machine (a com-pu-ter). I think that Thinkgeek has many attractive items that can become my perfect Birthday Present. I can read the binary clock they offer. I like Weird Al. And I think that Revenge of the Nerds should have won an Ozjish.

One of those many, many things I like a lot but never get around to doing, like snowboarding. In my highschool they had a climbing wall where I learned to climb. I was tall back then, and heavy too, but I managed to haul my nimble body up to the ceiling. Then, when I was 17, we went to the Czech Republic with two classes to have a survival week there. We did all sorts of sports, like rafting, mountainbiking, hiking and rockclimbing. The rockclimbing was on a Friday, and it was raining so hard it poured. I scaled the rock with my sportshoes. It was very slippery, but I made it. I liked the mountainbike ride back to town less.

I always have a very romantic image about walking in the rain. In the Dutch summer, when the air is warm and the water refreshing and light? Those are the times I love to walk in the rain. I don't care how drenched I get, and sometimes I just have to dance. Those rains when I walk with my face turned up towards the sky, when everyone is hunched in their coats, I laugh at the world.

Three icons

The Sci-fi vampires and main Bad Guys from the series, the wraith are perfect evil. They have no need to explain themselves. They have a perfect lust for killing. They want you dead. Period. And they're ruled by a queen. I love the Wraith. They're cool dressers, they're as arrogant as your average Potions Master and just as pretty. And the way they look at you just makes up for every bit of unhealthy complexion.
This is the icon I use when I'm pissed off about something, particularly cynical or just plain in a bad or predatory mood.

When I joined the

corsetmakers community I wanted a nice new icon to do with sewing. Most of the people there have half-laced up corsets, plushy curves, or lacey thighs in their pictograms when they post. I wanted something to fill the blank until I found a good picture of myself in a corset. This purple, emaille-looking sewing machine was just the thing. I'm still waiting for a good picture of me in a corset. Somehow my corsets never live up to my expectations. Whenever I talk about sewing, I use this icon.

Ah, my Yoshida kimono icon. In which I am mockingly looking up at above commenteers. It's labeled "artistic". Whenever the discussion is about aesthetics, or art, or when the talk is particularly sensitive or sweet, this is the icon I use. I always have a soft feeling inside when I use this icon.
