Meanwhile, from the costuming trenches...
Jan. 31st, 2006 08:41 amMom brought me roses. They're already wilting away, but it was sweet. I took a great picture of them too. The Japanese food was good, but I'm afraid next time we will visit Yamato in the heart of Rotterdam rather than Asia nearby. The food was good, yes, but the people and atmosphere of the restaurant quite frankly got on my nerves. On another teppan yaki table, there was a couple who were giggling very loudly and obnoxiously, and were pressing the chef into baking more egg and tossing it around some more. I mean, the whole egg-tossing thing is fun, sure, but if you think that's the only fun thing there, you're eating with the wrong friends.
I had the steak II menu, with duck, lamb, pork and beef, and loads of garlic ofcourse.
Meanwhile, the Violently Violet has had its third and final dye bath. There's 21 euro worth of dye in the damn thing, but it's pretty. I'm actually looking forward to the final stage: embroidering beads onto it. I forgot to look for extra-thick thread in the right colour. I'll do that after work - I only have to work half a day. I might just use transparent nylon thread that came with the serger. It's not as vulnerable as regular thread, and you'll hardly see it.
Concerning the diet: these last few days I've had so much trouble keeping to it. Sundaynight my body just craved something sweet or salty, while I had no points left to spend. I then resorted to munching carrots, which filled up my stomach nicely, but didn't help with the craving. NoKey then made me some broth, and that helped somewhat, but the stomach being filled to bursting with first regular dinner, then carrots, and to top it all off, broth, didn't help.
Yesterday was the same, but thank goodness I still had some points to spend. I had 35 grammes of chocolate then.
I didn't lose any more weight since last time I checked. It's week five of the diet and I still weigh just below a hundred kilogrammes.
Which is good, or otherwise I would have to start tinkering on getting the Violently Violet in yet another smaller size.
I'm really motivated to go horsebackriding now. Exercise would help me lose some circumference on tha hips. Horsies good.
I'm working on a pair of pants for NoKey, first mundanewear I'm building him really. And another skirt for myself. Badly motivated for any other kind of sewing at the moment.
Also, have a new icon. Southpark Jane is back, only animated now! Gimp is so cool, and it works like a charm.
