There.
I've just spent about four hours digging through photo's, changing their name, rotation, size, resolution etc. just to either clear them away (because I have better ones around) or to upload them to the Dolle Griet website, which I then subsequently updated. Of course.
It took me two pots of tea to get through them all, and now I'm taking mandatory every-five-minutes pee-breaks. It is one thing to drink tea, it is quite another if it wants to leave you again so soon.
But at least my hard disk is somewhat tidied.

I also got an e-mail with a picture of Kyra and me with owls. The quality was absolutely crappy, which was a bad thing. I also found out I have no good pictures of me in the grey outfit yet. The grey outfit being a period-correct medieval potatobag in wool, with petal-wrapped very 21st century velvet coat over it. I am still hoping on Ed from Bal Ans to get me a good shot, though I might have to wear it again. It didn't itch much, so that wouldn't be so bad a thing. Also, Steelweaver pointed out I have ass-ets and that you would need quite a potatobag indeed to cover them all up.

Keffie/Sinjun said Tuesday that the costume-present was very well received, and that the person who got it was standing around hardly believing it.

Yesterday I also finished my first Vampire-torrie dress. It's a very plain black cotton, but the cut of the dress is gorgeous (it was the simplicity wedding dress pattern), and it has chiffon half-circle sleevelets with red edging, and red lace at the neckline. Also, I produced a black chiffon scarf-thingy (also edged in red) I can tie around my natural-natural waist, which is just below my boobs and above my natural waist and makes the entire thing look slightly umpire-waisted, but in a good way.
NoKey almost knocked the cast-iron wok from the stove with his libido *wink* when I put it on. I suppose it will do then.

I've had a great idea for adapting the Simplicity simple dress with standing collar to a coat. After changing the sleebs sleeves ofcourse. Also, most people would not agree with me that the dress is simple, but it's a princess seamed thing, and I've seen plenty of those to go around. The wedding dress that made my first Torrie dress has ofcourse severely been altered (+7 centimeters above waist; +20 cm at hem in the length) and it fits almost (but not entirely) perfectly.
But I have enough coats already.

I was thinking of one Lex showing up in my see-through chiffon circle-pants, with boxershorts or french-knickers and stockings over it, but I'm afraid NoKey will break the table if I do that. With his libido.
It's very very hard for me, to think in continuous gala wear for me. One dress will not be enough, I could hardly be seen in the same dress twice (in a row). I guess I'll have to browse some costume and pattern-sites for inspiration.

And a call to all of you to find me a gala dress you'd like me to show up in. Two prerequisites though: I will have to be able to wear a bra, and corsets are right out.
Inspire me.
