D&D was fun yesterday. All last session Keffie had been trying to wake up some monster or other. The party, roaming around in the dungeon, suspected it was on the other side of the portcullis we found. And indeed it was.
We opened up the portcullis, found a hidden room with a desk, burning candles, and a half-finished letter in a drawer. We followed footsteps (after 'spoiling' some flour) to another hall, where a huge mountain was sleeping.
Well, hello there Mr. Hydra.
Sir Jean, played by Keffie, was the only one running towards the waterfall, which was probably permeable to the other hall, with the portcullis, while all of us went back through the room with the desk.
I'm very proud of Mariel, she cast her first REALLY offensive spell: "Doom". That really helped, for JW's character cast a couple of fireballs and some magic missiles on it with Melvin (NoKey), while Lorian's character Uthar and Jean chopped off heads.
Scratch one Hydra.
Uthar wanted to eat it (bad idea), but we did find a chest within a chest within a chest which contained a Ring Of Protection. Go us!
Fun session nonetheless.
We finished the dungeon part and JW is going to take over DMing from Keffie for now. We're almost back with our muil outside, but JW stopped the session just before the party got outside. I wonder what's waiting for us there, because we didn't see the invisible guy with the wet feet (who had been writing the letter).
In other news, I've started on a new embroidery thingy, picture is on my website (wee small picture, but still). And I'm stressing for our next fair. Also updated the Dolle Griet webpage today, yay!
