A new project?

Remember me saying I had use for an idea for that damast? The damast is really great, with palm/zebra-like patterns brocaded in. The fabric is quite flat, but it's really very pretty. I'll have a scan of it later.
Today I was thinking I could dye it kobalt blue, and make myself a long coat out of it. Like the handmaiden in Revenge of the Sith, only then with the continuous rolled collar but without the hideous pockets hanging from it. This picture will show what I mean. Lining a collar like that with satin and then having satin piping is all in all, not such a terrible idea at all.
Then I'd have three summer coats to choose from. *sigh*
Or I could line it with some padded stuff. Just till the waist. That would make it an agreeable coat for the winter days.
I promise myself not to buy the fabric until I've finished making the underkimono though.

Padawan's guide (http://www.padawansguide.com) does some great research when it comes to Star Wars Pictures. Maybe Fabio would like some costume or other from Star Wars?
