Photoblog: Cat Photoshoot
Jun. 28th, 2005 07:30 pmWho would know that cats would love a photoshoot? Well, er, they don't. Not particularly. But our cats do love attention. And when you sit down on the floor, they come and investigate what all the fuzz is about. And come too close to be photographed, if only to sniff your trousers. And then butt their head against it.
It took me 30 tries, but I came up with three really gorgeous pictures of our cuties.

Dusty was around when I showed up with camera. She was quite interested in me, the small cupboard, the guitar amp, the wood board that has been standing around there, anything really, but posing for the camera. Calling her while timing your snapshot is the only way to make her stop moving around. You can even see she's not looking quite into the camera.

Lisa then showed up, to receive all possible attention and cuddles, pets, and tummy-rubs. She just kept butting her head to anything of me that was available, including my elbow, knees, legs, toes, and other parts that stick out. Another not-quite-looking-into-the-camera. But camera's aren't important to cats. Cuddles are!

This is how we see Lisa most often (only she's not drooling here, normally she is). After all, tummies are for petting. "Look! I've got a tummy! And it needs to be petted!" is what she always says to anyone who arrives in our house.
