Wolvenstein Keen Doom 2
Jun. 21st, 2005 07:19 pmIn Doom 2, there are some secret levels. The first one looks like Wolvenstein. I hated that game. And the second one also looked like Wolvenstein. And in the end of the level, I found four Commander Keens, dangling from nooses. No exit though. In Doom and Doom2, it's normal that 'if it don't budge, shoot it'.
I had to shoot al four Commander Keens in order to get to the exit.
Major hilarity there.
Am loving killing spree on new rocketlaunchering dudes though. *grin*

And if you are interested in 500 custom levels for mostly Doom I, let me know. There are some really great ones. We're making a spreadsheet of 'em.

Date: 2005-06-21 03:58 pm (UTC)I liked the simple approach of Doom and Wolfenstein a lot more than the puzzling involved in Quake. I don't know about you, but I prefer to just shoot everything and then go to the exit, rather than having to first find out which arrangement of switches scattered across the level will open up the door leading to the key to the door leading to the exit. If I wanted to go thorough that, I'd play Myst.
That being said, old games rock.
