Google Maps

Supposedly, this Google Map thing is teh hit. People all get worried about privacy and such. As long as you're not sunbathing naked on a roof, with a big sign next to you saying who you are, I doubt anyone can really recognize you from these pictures.

Google Maps can be found at http://maps.google.com/. Click on the link "Satellite" at the top right and the map will be replaced by live satellite pictures. Then, you can search around. (Dunno if this features anything but America yet, when I googled "europe" it translated it to Europe, some-state-or-other-in-the-USA). Ofcourse there's people spying on the most fun stuff, like someone spying on Area51 in Nevada, and the site Google Sightseeing invites users to send in fun shots. See airplanes fly high above the houses.
And ofcourse, if you want to see the White House up close, this is your chance. Check out the blanched rooftops of the White House and two adjacent buildings. (petermarcus commented this on the Area51 thread).
I've been to Hollywood, Los Angeles so far, but from what I see from the USA, I wouldn't want to live there.

So you can scroll to Europe, but can't zoom in too far. I can't see my house from here!!! XD

Umm, LA sucks. It's the part that will (happily) fall into the Pacific if "the big one" ever really happens.

I recommend checkiing out northern California (yay Willits!!! See my friend at 5100 3rd gate road), Seattle/Vancouver area, the eastern Sierra Nevadas are nice (Bishop or Mammoth calif) and maybe Utah.

Because LA sucks.
