Yes, you read it correctly, Janie is knitting! No, I'm not knitting baby socks for my love-child with my Togo 419 scammer, I'm knitting a scarf for Xantara. We've got a special coming up on December 4th, and I wanted to have a scarf. And when I found the wool for it, I was sold.
It's really pretty and very soft wool, (echte scheerwol), very thick (say, 8mm) dyed in yellow, red and brown. So when you knit it, the colour jumps. Very earthy, very beautiful. I'm using 12 mm pens, so I'm going strong, and have already knitted 1 and 2/3s balls of yarn! I can knit about 66 cm with each ball of yarn, and I'm pondering about buying one or two more, since I want the scarf to be really long.
In other most important news, I showered.
Drooled over several pictures of the Valyar site. Arrowcases for on your back good. And I'd like a totally black set of arrows, fiberglass ones. Black feathers, black head, black shaft, black wiring. But that's a dream for the future. Filing it with the corset (dream since 2001) and the vintage shoes and the early 1900's vintage Moulin Rouge dress with matching bunroll.
Mmmm coffee, and I mean real NoKey (tm) coffee!

Date: 2004-11-01 12:07 pm (UTC)How many hours have you spent on the scarf? If I can grasp the amount of work it's going to take, then perhaps I might make a schedule or something and it might work. ;)
