janestarzSo the weather here has been blistering here lately. It was fun yesterday, waking up to thunder and lightening. When finally the rain went away we got to do some groceries but alas, once we had the stuff the heat was back, dropping on you like a blanket. Here we were wearing jeans...
Drachenfest is approaching at max speed now, Wednesday we leave. The group is sort of ready and thanks to our early preparations I only have to finish a black ninja-cap for Pluis before I'm set to go. I think I can tell you all now: we will play a samurai group. NoKey and I got some foam pipe isolation stuff and he made those into scabbards (larp-proof scabbards, so we can use them to smack people too!) while I worked on the hiltwrappings. His katana is now so gorgeous it's sickening. I also painted nobori, flags with kanji (japanese characters) on them. They say "Yoshida" which is our clan name.
I'm going to visit TommyCee today, in her new house. It's shameful that we haven't introduced our boyfriends yet and we haven't visited eachother yet in our new houses, but now that her wedding is coming up time became short. If you just show up for the wedding it will feel (to me) like you're just showing up for the food. And I don't want anyone to think that. So some effort had to be done.
I also still really need to visit Necktar and my grandmother. Gramps first, right after Drachenfest.
