Lunch and doing stuff while NoKey's out
Jun. 28th, 2004 01:37 pmIt's not so much bad that NoKey doesn't go to work anymore. It's just that we get on one another's nerves. I want to work with the drawing table free, so I can put my stuff on there and work with it whenever I can, while he just lets his stuff lie there. We don't fight. No. But it does irritate.
But today he's at the job again, Lordknowswhy, becuase his boss had something to do or something.
I'm working on stuff I just couldn't get myself to do in the last couple o'days. Drawing my 'logo' on my arrows. And on my new Dutch Elfwood Dummy. Drinking lemonade that's been in the fridge since the Fantasy Fair. And I'm working on Marilou's dress. She needed it fixed, and for 15 euro's she was sold. I love working on that thing. It's a wonderful dress, the kind most muggle women only wear when they're getting married, with princess seams and a train, six panels and out of gold-coloured fabric which is thicker than most people have their curtains nowadays. It's the kind of dress I wanted to make out of that blue cotton I bought on the market last Tuesday but was afraid to screp up on. Drawing that kind of a pattern is very hard, and I'd rather not screw up.
But now I'm off. Malor got me some background info on SR and I'll have to read&memorize while I'm lunching.

Date: 2004-06-28 12:44 pm (UTC)It's always fun to look & exchange patterns though. I don't have many beautiful patterns but a very functional jeans pattern, and a circle-dress. Copying patters isn't that hard to do.
If you're interested?

Date: 2004-06-28 01:39 pm (UTC)If you're not too busy post-Sum, maybe we can do some pattern-'mutsen' with tracing paper at hand. There's a whole box of stuff I could bring. Who knows, you might even pick up an idea or two for DG even if you don't end up using the patterns. By the way, my enthusiasm for patterns has increased considerably since I can regularly get them for a dollar a piece...I'm getting some more from my American 'contact' around the Sum, and one of them I ordered for Malor. He was very enthusiastic about it, and since it seems to be around his sewing level, something pretty should come of it:)
