I guess I can be open about it now, since Stefan told me I could put it all online. Stefan, the guy I was making that costume for, is the organiser of the Elf Fantasy Fair. So, check out what I made for him on the Dolle Griet website. (You can hardly miss that big-ass picture on the welcoming page)

For non-dutchies, the text with the picture says: "The costume of the organizer of the Elf Fantasy Fair, Stefan Struik, was also ordered with us. This complete costume is based on an 18th century military costume, and consists of kneelength-trousers, blouse, vest, coat, and sash."

The trousers were too wide at the waist, so I'll have to take them in 2 cm on each side. But he looks great. Horror-stories from last year's costume made by a woman who had an education in the costuming business included measuring a cm neckline on cloth in inches. Ouch, that's gotta hurt. *grins*

I'm quite ready for the Fair. We enjoyed dining with Malor, and I sold him one of the blue velvet-velours cloaks for Selarit (at a small discount, just for him). The banner is 100% done, with rings for ropes, and ropes for the rings, and all that. There's a minor glitch in some of the organizing, but I expect that to work itself out soon enough.

I hope to see you too. It's been a long time since I've seen you and I think you can use a big hug, if that's okay. ;-)

Wow, that costume looks excellent! Hope the fair goes well for you, word of mouth is the best advert you can get in the LARP scene and you should get plenty of that if all your costumes are that good :o)

Go you *grin*

Thank you! It was one hell of a job, though.

On our irc larp-chat we all try to sell stuff and get people to visit our stand. And a lot of friends just browse through my inventory and buy their stuff here. The general idea that I have to have some stuff to sell at the fair, doesn't seem to hit home with them.

But all in all, people know about DG now, and those that don't will find us at the fair since we're in the LARP village.

I've been in and out Dolle Griet a couple of times, I have to say that I really like the Annic chain that I borrowed on SR (who were in the same tent). My mum is a costumiere so she does my costumes, I just do the design. Like your stuff thou :)
