As a european citizen, I have the right to vote, unlike some people on this little ball of dirt.
Unlike some fellow european citizens, I actually want to go vote, because I have the right, and my vote makes a difference. After all, who does not speak does comply. (Wie zwijgt, stemt toe). If you do not vote, and then start to whine about politics, you have no right to speak.

But now for the fun part.

At the time I moved out of Hellhole Veenendaal, I did not receive the card that allows me to vote. And by the time I officially moved in here, it hadn't arrived at either address. Hence, I have no card.
We went to city hall today to try and get that card so I could go and vote. But no juice. They just claimed that I had to go to my regular voting office and show my passport and that I could vote there just like that.

Well, wooptie-fucking-doo. I don't know where the 'regular voting office' is, since I have only voted in Ede before, not in Veenendaal. I can't get to the address where my card will arrive, and I won't have enough time to change it to here anyway. I could go to Veenendaal to the 'regular' voting office, try to find out which one that is.
That is, if I had the money to spare for a round-way trip to Veenendaal.

Yes. We want our people to vote. We, the politicians, will therefore make it very hard to rearrange voting to another city in case somebody does not receive their cards.

I just wonder whether I have a right to whine about European politics after this. I want to vote, but can't.
