Yesterday I spent some time sewing on the tunic for One Of Many again. I'm down to the last panel, with the last few thornbushes. It's getting really pretty. I'll be glad when it's done and I can take pretty pretty pretty pictures. Though these assignments, or orders, are what makes Dolle Griet fun (the rest is just basic front, back sleeves, now some hemming...done work), I've quite had it with my sewing machine feeding off my silver thread and then breaking it.

Mmm Coffee.

So anyway, what was I saying? Ah yes. Opposed to yesterday when my father assumed he was doing me a favour or something. It was a bit strange being part of that family again. Detty cooked noodles with minced meat. Oh and there was a bit of salad. It was fun reading the paper and watching the news on tv again though. Even saw some tuxies penguins on National Geographic channel.

Anyway, tonight Voltar will come over to watch a movie, and I have a bit of tidying to do, I hope I can finish the tunic, or at least the embroidery to it, before he drops in.

Yes, metallic thread apparently is very prone to breaking. It somewhat helps if you release the tension on the upper thread a bit and use a non-metallic lower thread, but you'll still end up cussing at your sewing machine every foot or so. I've been told sacrifices of human blood to Glitziana, goddess of costuming work as well, but I'm not into that kind of thing really.
