Sooo yesterday I picked Pasje up from the metro, and we dragged bags and sewing machine up these stairs. She immediately started showing me fabrics and things and this and that, and I suggested going for lunch first. So we ate some rolls before getting to work.

Sitting across the table from eachother with each our own sewing machine, we worked hard for Dolle Griet. She worked on two green fleece cloaks with leaves-embroidery, while I worked on a peasantblouse with top for a woman. I'm still finishing up the medium-sized ones now.
We had a lot of fun. For some reason people are obsessed with Geoffrey.
We dressed Geoffrey up in a bra and thong of mine (yes, clean ones) and then the tops fitted him a lot better.

Singing with Menage was fun too. We worked on California Dreaming, but I always forget what I have to sing! With Dust in the Wind and Sound of Silence it's not too hard, but there Pasje and I have the same parts to sing. If we want to use three voices in harmony...pffff. That's going to be hard. But being in a band is never easy, and I love practicing even if it feels somewhat desperate now and then.
I've been practicing Van Diemen's Land as well, and I can almost sing and play at thesame time.

This morning after waving [livejournal.com profile] nokey off to work, and after breakfast and coffee, we continued with working on cloaks and tops. Then at ten Patrick came over, the third person in Dolle Griet (since euhm...yesterday?). We took a lot of pictures of his stuff, also for on the website we still have to build. So people will know what they can order.
After all that we packed Pasje's bags and went to the market in Rotterdam. We also hopped in at Cheap Fashion (everyone's favourite Rotterdamned second-hand shop) where I bought furs for Sniffer, a new ranger-backup character I'm going to build. I am opposed to furs, but these were second-hand....and pretty. I am sort of ashamed of myself. *pout*
But they're really pretty!

I came home tiiiirreeeddd. And I just read some news of [livejournal.com profile] tommycee in her alternate journal! Wooooow!

Need to work on Sword & Ink. And finish peasant blouse.

Yay for books!
As soon as I got home, I crashed onto the couch and had tea and read some Jordan. I too was dead tired.

Robin Williams? Robin Williams? I am guessing that is a slight confusion, as John Williams (no relation . . . at least, I hope not) is the musical mastermind behind Star Wars and Indian Jones and many other movies, while Robin Williams is a comedic mastermind and actor.

Bah, and I feel horrible as the main thing I do is sit here and correct you . . . *grumble* *grumble*

Oh, and Dust in the Wind and The Sound of Silence are wonderful songs, too. I would love to hear you guys sing it. Both very . . . melodic in a simple but effective way, both very contemplative.

It will be a while before we will record something. But we always sing at Larps and Larp-related parties. Just two nights ago we sang in harmony...and it was great. I didn't even screw up... ;-)

LOL. I just looked at the playlist and typed what it said without giving it a second's thought. You're absolutely right ofcourse.

Now I need the right to change the ID3 tags to mp3s on this Linux thing...
