The X-mess [part II]

janestarzNoKey and I woke around noon. I don't exactly know why I fell asleep like I did last night, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open for some strange reason. I believe the initial plan was some lingerie and funnnn but I just lay in the bed, in my eve's costume, and fell asleep. By the time NoKey joined me I was all beyond the rainbow merrily dancing with the fairies daemons.
So when we finally got up for real, and started doing stuff (we've had some trouble with the washing machine: too much soap which made the sensors go all bubbly and we decorated the guitar on the wall to finally kind of get into the christmas spirit, and we did some dishes). I was eyeing the bags of cloth. We've been to the Utrechtse market a long time ago, and there were enough projects to start working on. So we cleared the table, and while NoKey made up a pattern for a white Microfiber 2-circle skirt (= v. wide, v. comfy, and fucking sexy), I worked on the finish of a 'rug' we might use on massages. Very comfy bath-robe material, which does stretch a bit. But it looks really great.
So at a quarter to six we took the subway to my father's house, for the second Christmas celebration. Despite the decorated guitar I am still not very much in the spirit. Too much stress I think. It was such a great surprise to see Grandma sitting on the couch! I hugged her, and showed her pictures and all.
Jos and his GF soon arrived, and we sat a bit. They watched pictures, Raphael copied them to the hard disc, and then we started on the soup.
Tomatosoup, which was good andspiked spicey. Then 'beenham' with mexican peppermix on the outside, taters, red cabbage, white cabbage salad, mushroom sauce and broccoli for the main course. The mushroom sauce was - for me at least - the best of all, though the ham was good too. I'm not much of a meat-eater but it was good. We talked about the usual stuff. Apparantly Grandma was impressed with my clothing projects. I showed her the really good Elisabeth picture (the one I printed out and gave to NoKey to put into a frame, which is the one I have as an LJ icon as well), and I told her that I was wearing some jeans of my own hand as well. The new Anna Vay trousers were easily made, though I had to take in the waistband at least 8 centimeters, if not more. In my hips, I'm a size 46 (UK 16?) and in my waist I can take a 42, I think. It is still too wide at my hips but that allows me to climb trees in it and such.
Dessert was ice cream, three different kinds. And then the coffee and small presents. Since Detty became a part of the family, we introduced x-mess presents. In Germany they're really big on the feasting and presents, unlike we dutchies. But it's very thoughtful of them anyway. NoKey surely was surprised about the gift...they gave him 20 euro in gift certificates, very nice of them. I got a little bag with shampoo and gel and a hairbrush and a x-mess card with 50 euro in it. Call it an end-of-year bonus. That's going into the savings.
I've been saving all my tips (which haven't been much lately since I hardly work anymore) for a corset. Right now, I'm up to 35 euro (out of approx. 125). If I were to add the 50 euro, I would get on much faster, but now that I have a nice taste for lingerie...I've seen this beautiful black thingy with white lace which would look good on me. Also, there's always the hunger for more fabrics, projects and clothes/cloths. *sigh*
I think I'll just save it with the 35 and later on decide what I want to do with it. It's always nice to wear a corset with gothic outfits. And I can make gothic-a-plenty...velours is cheap.
I think we'll work some more on the white skirt...and then hit the sack. Tomorrow X-mess at Kitty and Tess'.
