Please ignore my previous post about the internet being all fixed in V. After all, my computer is definitely out to get me (as is my pillow, but that is another story altogether), and has adapted the changes I made in the properties of the Dial-up. In other words, after my initial freakish joy, the internet crashed only two minutes after updating my livejournal.

In other news, I've begun working on Projects Long Due. Still not ready to start on the Flamenco Skirt. It being satin, hell, and a pattern and all. Did you know the standard pattern provider here in Holland calculates the patterns for people with a height of 168 cm? The average Dutch woman is 7 cm taller than that, and I myself am ofcourse the freak I always am with my 190 cm tall (that's something like 6"1' for you Americans out there). I started on the new Anna Trousers, with the old Anna Trousers ripping wherever inconvenient. The fabric was just too thin to make trousers of, I have to admit. So now I have brown stretch (unicolour) brown jeanscotton. I've already put in 90 minutes of work, and am done copying the pattern, cutting out the pattern pieces and zigzagging the edge of every pattern piece.

I do plan to contine on the Flamenco Skirt though, maybe not before the new year, but still. To show you what projects I have and can still work on in the near or farther away future:
  • Flamenco Skirt: new ideas on this include making the dress only one layer instead of two, and thus saving lots of [expensive] black satin for nighties and other naughty clothing I can make of it. This will make the skirt red, with black fringes at the bottom. This also means I can combine the skirt with the numerous black cotton shirts I have (shiny black satin combined directly with black cotton is a no-no, I think).
  • The JackieKennedy Dress: Still haven't finished adjusting this, and because it's quite a lot of work I have no desire to work on this any time soon. I can't wear the thing until its at least 25 degrees Celsius outside anyway.
  • The Malor Tunic: Have design, but didn't start on that today because I thought I might need a piece of special ribbon [Sequins! Sequins!] for the design we agreed on. But I just remembered I have silver thread (garen), maybe a thick wide zigzag might substitute. Malor: if you read this, how about that?
  • Black With Red Accents Linen Tunic: Any time I have time. Need to make sketch, might try to sell later. Any takers?
  • Green Elven Tunic: If I ever play an elf, I need this. No hurry either. Will make it along the lines of the Elrond Tunic I made for NoKey so we can look elvish together. Or something.
  • Purple...anything: Leftover fabric of the tunic I made for Oz. Might be able to make a tunic out of it. Or whatever.
  • Blue Gown: I have 15 m2 of fabric for a skirt and top. Got patterns for that. Just...need the time. Summerwear, so no hurry here either. Besides, it's slippery fabric.
  • Black Armored Tunic: From an agreement with the Scot. I make a tunic in my sizes, he puts on plates of metal. In return, I make him a cloak or something. Whenever.
  • Restpieces of cloth for pouches, belts, whatevers, whenevers.

Going to eat in a second, need to work at Gon tonight. I hope this will work out, my back is still a bit...uneasy. This bed makes it hurt more, too. Or could be lack of ceiling admiration.

I leave you with a Funny Fact: I will dazzle the audience as Arwen at the Return Of The King premiere, in a dress made of scraps of restpieces of Oz' curtains! Think about that, [livejournal.com profile] ozjish, your curtains will be famous!
