Last night bandpractice. Well, what can I say. With my shoulders mostly, my back just being numb, protesting, I hauled Billy de Guitar to Utrecht. We confisquated the studio and started playing. Somehow the plugs of my wire were FUBAR, a 21 euro wire that is! So that bummed me out, my neck got all sore, and I sat on the hard floor near the drums, getting a headache. Needless to say, bandpractice was not as much fun as it was last time.
This morning I called Pasje. About the LOTR premiere. I have been quite weirded out by the mere idea that we would meet up at her place at December 16, around two-thirty, three o'clock. Because December 16 is a Tuesday. Movies never premiere at a Tuesday. They do on Wednesdays, on special occasions, and on Thursday, mostly. But never on Tuesdays. So I called her.
After some initial trouble with the phone and she understanding who I was (because in some people's minds I only exist as Jane and not as Annet), I asked her and she explained the marathon would start on Tuesday, and then a minute past midnight on the Wednesday December 17, the cinema will show us the third movie, Return Of The King.
The best news was then, that she said: "I figured you could be Arwen."
I squeaked.
After I hung up the phone I couldn't do much except jump around saying "I get to be Arwen, I get to be Arwen!"
Pasje quickly explained that NoKey would be Elrond (good casting that is), Malor would be Aragorn (yupyup), and I would be Arwen. She also said she'd arrange for me to wear the Evenstar and everything (she works in the Elf fantasy shop so that shouldn't be much of a problem.
Truth of the matter is that I've tried getting into the premiere with Aloryan first, but she blew me and everyone else off after promising us we could go, by taking her friends instead. Then Ignis told me we could still go to the Lux in Nijmegen, but that there already were two Arwens. So when I heard that too was no longer an option I was bummed out. Until Malor said that Pasje had some tickets for a show in Rotterdamn. Which is much more practical in any case, with NoKey living in the suburbs there. And when the news hit me that I could be
Arwen, I just freaked. Wild dreams coming true here.
So, bad news and good news. I just need to calm down now. And wrap NoKeys present and finish his tunic.
