Monday bloody Monday
Jul. 14th, 2003 06:49 pmReini is on vacation and Ilona will be leaving tomorrow. Sabine is going to leave Friday. Rest! Rest!
Slept 13 hours this night, which was good. Woke up all headachy from heavy sleeping, went out for groceries. Baked a ciabatta and put some salad on. Which I just finished *grin*
Because I was so busy with this:
I had cut the blouse (which is just an exaggerated T-shirt, basically) last week, and started sewing it when Daphne offered to lend me her mom's sewing machine. After adapting the coil (is that the proper word?) I started putting this together.
The breeches were way simple. I still had some hairy brown fabric, folded it in two, lay down on it, and drew around my legs. Some elastic on the top and in the two legs, two seams on the front, and it was as good as done.
I also bought some buttons for cloaks etc. and picked up my copy of the new Harry Potter. It was only 21 euro for a hardcover! I think that's cheap, since most paperbacks I buy are already 15 euro. Now I have some easy reading to do when I get back from work tomorrow. It'll be my last day at the Worlt for a while, and I have to work from 9-12 which is bliss after last weekends' early morning starts. I have no objection to getting up early, but I do object to working at seven in the morning.
Somebody who has lived in this house before but moved out took her tv with her. Now that just takes the fun out of dinner.
Anyway, I'll be eating 2 chicken drumsticks, with cauliflower and cheesesauce tonight. Mmmm. And after that, I'll be working on another cloak. I love making cloaks...I really do. Now if I could only sell them at a nice price to people. *ponders*
And a very big bearhug to
randallsilver who has performed CPR on his LJ! *applause*
