Nobody seems to comment anymore. There used to be all these long posts with enourmous trails and trails of comments. It must be a lazy season.

I finally have my Robert Jordan series comlete [in paperback], part 1-9 that is. I still haven't read Crossroads of Twilight and I don't think it's been published paperback yet.

Brought Billy because tonight's band practise. I'm really too tired to go but I can't cancel anyway. TC isn't going.
The office is empty, so I claimed the MSN computer. If I'm really bored I can still play Xixit or play guitar. That's a comforting thought.

I will go out to shop in a bit, I think. I have to figure out what time I need a train to Utrecht and then make some lame-ass questions for a telephone-interview and write 10 tips for a first date. Yeah. Suck-ass is the word!

ten tips for a first date ... how would you know that? how can ya write something like that without getting overly sarcastic or just plain old funny? i'm sorry, i'm just reacting for the reaction. that, and i just found the rules for rock from buddyhead http://www.buddyhead.com/grn/

maybe they can help you make the tips for the first date. i have a wicked sense of humour. i won't bother you anymore.

Wicked sense of humour good.
Comment good.

Writing for singles is fun. Ten tips for a first date:
1) wear clothes
2) brush your teeth.
3) laugh
etc.

-wear clean underwear.
-if you're the man, take money with you. if you're the woman. don't. but take your card with you just in case.
-don't expect too much, but don't be too negative either.
-think of the stories that might be interesting to tell, to avoid those 'akward silences. the story about how you got your tonsils removed is not one of them. neither the one about how you stalked your ex for 3 months after she/he left you for a laywer.
-as a matter of fact, avoid the topic of exes. if the other starts about it nonetheless, fake a faint and run off as soon as you're out of his/her sight.
-if you don't have any stories, make them up.
-email the other a list with things to do and discuss and a list of don't just an hour before the date. just to make sure this date will be a complete failure.

i should get a life. oh shite. now i'm bothering you again.

I don't think that Crossroads of Twilight has been published in paperback yet. It's still too new. Try sometime around the middle to the end of summer.

I just started re-reading the whole series since it's been over two years since I've even looked at the books. It's amazing how much I had forgotten.

I know. It took me a while to remember the word Aes Sedai alone. And I totally had forgotten that they couldn't lie at all. But I'll reread them this summer or something. When I get my hands on Part 10.

I was lucky. My parents pre-ordered a hard cover copy of CoT for me for Christmas (I think, in part because my dad wanted it too :P) so I have it. I had just been out of the story for so long that I wanted to re-read it before reading the new book.

According to my dad though, CoT is a good transitional book. It isn't meant to progress a lot through the storyline. It's a lot of political manuvering and prep work for the conclusion of the series. (Jordan's looking at ending at 12 books)

I do not know if this totally applies since it is more specifically dancing, but a friend of mine (who has gone on a number of dates) that when dancing, if you do not know what you are doing, make sure that if nothing else, you do two things: 1) smile, and 2) do not step on their feet. It seemed to work pretty well for me. *smile* See, I got that one down pretty well.

It is my understanding that generally it is about a year before a book comes out in paperback. Since CoT came out in January or so, it probably will not be out in paperback (if my sources were correct, and I think they were, just from my experience, although the one time I was anxious about it, I just ended up getting the hardback) until next year or so.

Only about four hundred more pages in WH and then I can start on CoT. *smile*

And then I am swearing off the ever rereading the series for at least five years. Three times is more than enough. I shall just read the books as they come out.
