Mayhem on rooms

janestarzI was checking out a room in the centre of Ede tonight. It was cool. Really a nice kitchen, a 3x3 room with large window. It’s okay-ish. I need something. Now I just hope the two people deciding can find the grace within their christian hearts to grant me the room in stead of one of the other three students.
I’ve been working on more tunics. Oz’ tunic is now done, and I hope it will fit right this time. It’s pretty hard to make something for someone who lives about 150 kilometres north. I’ve also worked on another tunic for Tis, and it’s becoming so pretty! It’s almost done now. All I need to do is attach a dark blue hem at the bottom. It’s a ecru tunic, with dark blue sleeves. At the shoulders (right next to the padding which should make me look more muscular) there’s a small “wing”. The sleeves are of pyjama-like fabric: tricot. It stretches. The sleeves are extra-long, and go under my new wrist-braces; with a little extra fabric on my hand. On my breast I embroidered a waxing moon with a zig-zag stitch. It’s definately a girly tunic, for one because of the little wings and the embroidery at the sleeves, and because of the cut.
Tomorrow I’ll be going to Deventer, again! Since Wednesday is the day we celebrate we have a queen and pay her and her household much hard-earned taxmoney to live like royalty, I don’t have to work. Plus, Anton’s shop has a monsterday. Dress-up and you’ll get a discount on all larpstuff. So I called Seb to see if he was in for some larp-shopping. He said it would cost him his bank account – how very true - and suggested we’d just hang out in Deventer and visit the rumbble-market *Grin*. I love browsing markets for larp stuff. Inge is also coming. Luckily, Tommy (I do mean Mousytail’s boyfriend with that) and some other friends of Seb are also coming, so three isn’t a crowd this time!
I hope to find some nice stuffsels at the market. Most of it will be junk, but you never know what gems there are in the mud. Besides, this market can’t be as expensive as larpswords at Anton’s, so I can save up for that armor I want. I can only take home with me what I can carry since I’ll have to take a train back Wednesdaynight.
