At least I know I’m pms’ing. But it could also be the being locked in the house that makes me clean and tidy the house. I’m so bored. I know I’m sort of ill, mom diagnosed me as being “oververmoeid”, I’d rather go with semi-burn-out. Anyways, I’m really tired and at times a bit feverish. [A big improvement from throwing up Saturday]. But sitting at home doing nothing sucks, and I’m a bit blah so actually doing something just isn’t it. I’d rather go out or something except for the fact that I’d have to dress really warm etc. Whine whine sob.

What displeases me the most about having fallen ill, is that I want to be spoiled. Or rather: vertroeteld. Just wishing somebody would tuck me in, stroke my hair and give me a kiss on the forehead when I’m feeling sick/tired/blah.

I’ve just tidied the house (which ofcourse still doesn’t mean it’s clean, yech, cleaning) and arranged Tommy’s stuff I ran into in one place so if she comes over tonight she can easily take it with her. Including some foodstuff like appelmoes and pesto which I don’t like.
I’ve tried calling Focus where I’m doing my internship but somehow I can’t seem to reach them. *smirk* Ah well. At least I know I won’t be missed if they’re not there.

I’m in a “listen to crappy music” mood. I whooped out my old singles and the cd’s I ‘hid’, I’ve actually listened to the one dance-music single I own: Safri Duo – Played alive. Right now, it’s Micheal Jacksons turn to take a spin on the cd-player. In some strange way it reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] randallsilver *Grin*. Okay, I’m teasing you. And I think I’ll try some Kelly Family next. Oh, the old days…

Since Oz wasn’t feeling too well either we decided to rearrange his coming over. He’s now going to be dropping off my computer next weekend. Well, shoot. I’ll be home. It’s not like I can go to a larp then. I’m kind of bummed I won’t be visiting Moonblade. Larp is larp, after all.

As I just read back what I had typed I think the semi-burn-out is sort of a correct diagnosis. I’ve been so busy travelling our country from one corner to the next that there was hardly any time to be at home and be with myself. Add to that a more or less chaotic home-situation, the stress of ‘having to move’ hanging over my head, plus the internship, it’s no wonder my body is finally making me stay at home. *smirk* I can use some time with myself but somehow it’s driving me insane as well.

One last thing. At the fair I bought three dragons, two of which look very similar. I still need to name them but I can’t come up with any names. So, do me a favour and help me out by commenting!

It’s time for my afternoon nap.

*growl*

Don't tease me *sun reflects on pointy teeth*
And to answer something in another post of yours: I'll be happy to attend to your party :-) Beware though: I do not like curry very much, just warning you.

Oh - bite me...please ;-)

There will be three sauces. I hope.
If I can figure out the cooking logistics...

Hehe, yes, that's always the problem, I know the feeling. But I still don't know what to get you for your b-day! Let me know!

You can always wear something special - just for me ;-) A big red ribbon tied across your [bare]chest?

I do hope you will stay the night? *wink*

"Whine whine sob."

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

Anyway, dragon names... well, there is always the mythological precedent of Fafnir, the dragon killed by Siegfried in Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung operas. Or, if I had my Poetic Edda with me, I could give you the name of the equivalent dragon killed by the equivalent hero Sigurd in the Norse stories. Unfortunately, I loaned it to a friend. Pooh.

Have you ever seen the movie Flight of Dragons? That is one of my favorite cartoons, and it is based largely off of two books, Peter Dickinson's Flight of Dragons (never read) and The Dragon and the George by Gordon R. Dickinson (which I have read, and from which most of the plot it taken; it is a pretty good book as fantasy goes - a bit whimsical, and fairly humorous, but good). In it, one of the dragons is named Gorbash, and the other good one is Smergil (although I am not sure about the spelling of Smergil).

Regardless, though, I recommend Flight of Dragons.

Thanks!
I've been thinking about Moxie for the smallest of the three. She's guarding a small chrystal marble, and looks quite fierce (hey, that could be her egg).

Somebody also recommended the name :Smaug: but I'd rather not steal any names off dragons. No matter how famous or infamous they are.

Short English lesson!
"crystal" - no 'h'
Also, maybe you know this (I cannot tell from context), but "infamous" does not mean what it might on first appearance mean. It is not the opposite of "famous", it means essentially 'famous for being really bad, well known because of a really bad reputation'. See, that works for Smaug, but is that what you meant? If so, just ignore my doubting you. There is actually no direct antonynm (opposite word) to "famous" as far as I know, just things like "not famous" or "unknown" or some such.

hehe. Well, to be honest I was going for some other word starting with an f (favourite) but discarded that because of famous- infamous. And by infamous I did indeed mean the other meaning of the word as well as implying that it was the opposite of famous.

The dutch saying is: twee vliegen (two flies) in een klap (in one strike/blast)
